Julia has been part of Sudbury Minor Baseball for the last four seasons, the last two seasons she has been playing Rep baseball for the Sudbury Shamrocks.  In 2014, Julia embarked on a journey trying out for the Ontario Girls Provincial Baseball 16U Team and after many weekends of travel to Richmond Hill and four rounds of tryouts, Julia made the Provincial Team as a 13 year-old.  In August 2014, Julia competed in the 16U Girl’s Invitational Canadian Championships for Ontario in Saguenay, Quebec and played an important role for the team on their way to a silver medal.  Julia’s short term goals include spending the off-season working on her fitness and improving her overall skills.  Julia enjoyed another successful run in 2015 at the 16U Girl’s Invitational Canadian Championships helping her team to another silver medal.  In the Fall of 2015 Julia embarked on another goal by making the Waterloo Ghosts Gold Bantam Fast Pitch traveling team after never having played fast pitch prior.  Julia’s long term goals include continued Ontario Provincial Team success, Team Canada and a U.S. University Scholarship.

In May of 2016 Julia was invited to join Team Canada 21U to compete against the other provinces at the Senior Women Invitational in Red Deer Alberta August 25 – 29, 2016.

After a very successful experience in Red Deer, Julia for the Fall of 2016 and for the 2017 season wants to continue to be involved with the Team Canada 21U Prospects and will take her softball game to the Toronto Fast Pitch Club for the 2016/2017 season.

In the summer of 2017, Julia decided to dedicate herself completely to Women’s baseball. Julia took part in Baseball Canada’s Women’s Invitational playing for Team Canada 21U Prospects, from there she was one of 30 women who were chosen to play for our Team Canada National Program in Washington D.C. against Team USA. Julia also won gold playing for Team Ontario at the Baseball Canada Women’s 21U Championship. Julia was the MVP of the Gold medal game leading her team with 3 doubles, 4 RBI’s and 3 runs scored. Julia was also named tournament all star first baseman.

Julia is training hard this off season to continue to improve as a player as her goal is to continue to be part of the Team Canada National Program in 2018 and beyond.
